Carrie Ocie Green Absher, 76, of Interiachen, formerly of Raven, Va., died Sunday at her home in Raven.

Born in Red Ash, Va., she was a daughter of the late Charlie Henry and Susie Ellen White Green. She had made her home in Florida for the past 14 years and was of the Holiness faith.

She was a member of the Fork Ridge Free Pentecostal Church, Star Route, Raven.
She was preceded in death by a brother and four sisters.

Survivors: husband, James T. Absher; sons, Jerry T. Absher, Travis B. Absher, Joel L. Absher and Coy A. Absher, all of Raven, Thurmond D. Absher of Greensboro, N.C., Charles W. Absher of Annandale, Va., and Larry G. Absher of Cedar Bluff, Va.; daughters, Mrs. Danny (Karen) Johnson and Mrs. Tommy (Lois) Osborne, both of Raven; sister, Mrs. Gladys Salyers of Raven; fifteen grandchildren, five step-grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and seven step-great-grandchildren.

The funeral will be Wednesday at 1 p.m. at Hurst-Scott Funeral Chapel in Richlands, Va., with the Rev. Jessie Miller, the Rev. Ancil Childress and the Rev. Grat Horton officiating.
Entombment will be at Greenhills Memory Gardens Mausoleum in Claypool Hill, Va.
