Charles Lee Pearson, 67, of Peru, passed away Sunday, July 19, 2020 at his home surrounded by his loving family.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, July 24, 2020 at Spring Lake Cemetery in Aurora with Pastor Dan Richardson officiating. Visitation will be 5-7:00 PM Thursday at Spring Valley Apostolic Tabernacle, Spring Valley. Arrangements are entrusted to the Mueller Funeral Home in Peru.

Charles was born September 9, 1952 in Osceola, AR to Coy O’Neal and Edith (Reed) Pearson. He married Judith Ann Pearson on November 6, 2004 in Edgewood, IL.

Charles had a passion for serving the Lord and was a member of Spring Valley Apostolic Tabernacle. He also enjoyed leading worship. He enjoyed playing and singing music and was part of the southern gospel, Pearson Family Band. Charles was a true family man who adored his family. He loved fried chicken. He was an avid sports fan of all Chicago teams, especially the Chicago Cubs.

Survivors include his devoted wife: Judith; 12 children: Ward of Ladd, Frances (Jerry) of Spring Valley, Rod of Vernon, Gordon of Spring Valley, April of Peru, Dawn (Doug) of Charleston, SC, Jessica (Tony) of Ankeny, IA, Tasha (Ron) of Dexter, MO, Lisa (Ed) of LaSalle, Harry of Princeton, Irene of Spring Valley and Jacklyn (Kent) of Ramsey; 31 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; seven siblings: Bobby of Osceola, AR, Juanita (Alvin) of Mountain View, AR, Bill (Joyce) of Manito, Peggy of Phoenix, AZ, Larry (Barbara) of Manilla, AR, Roy (Margaret) of Batesville, AR and Perry (Donna) of Tennessee; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by one grandchild; his parents; two sisters; three brothers; and aunts and uncles.

Pallbearers will include Harry Tibbitts, Perry Pearson, Calvin Pearson and Jerry Ashley.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to family.
