Frances Irene Long, 94, formerly of North Providence, passed away peacefully at The Holiday Nursing Home in Lincoln, RI. She was the beloved wife of the late Clyde Finley Long.

Born in Pawtucket she was the daughter of the late John J. and Melina ( Cloutier ) Pickett.

Frances was an assembler for the former School House Candy in Pawtucket for many years.

Mrs. Long is survived by her step-daughter Pamela Etheridge of Coventry, grandchildren, Thomas Etheridge of West Palm Beach, FL, Mark Etheridge of West Virginia, Brian Etheridge of Glocester, Michelle Egan of Coventry, 8 great grandchildren, her nieces, Ann Larochelle of Pawtucket, Mary Pickett of Pennsylvania, Rosemary Federici of Cranston, nephews, John DeSisito of Texas, David Mania of Cumberland, Dennis Mania of California, Michael Pickett of Seekonk, Robert Pickett of Lincoln and Stephen Montecalvo of Providence.

Frances was sister of the late John J. Pickett, Robert Pickett, Mary Montecalvo, Dorothy Mania and Mildred DeSisto.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday July 22, 2020 at 10:00 am in St. Pius V Church, 240 Eaton Street, Providence. Burial with her late husband Clyde will follow in the RI Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery, Rt. 2, Exeter.

In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to St. Pius V Church, Social Outreach, 240 Eaton Street, Providence, RI 02908.
