Mabel I. Wood
ANDERSON Mabel I. Adams Wood, 88, Anderson, died April 4 in Manor Care in Anderson following a brief illness.
Born Feb. 18, 1914 in Summitville to Ozro and Adeline Weaver Adams, she lived all her life in the Alexandria, Anderson area.
A homemaker, she was a member of Vermillion Christian Church, and former member of the Order of the Eastern Star.
Surviving are two daughters, Marilyn Moore and Eleanor Heavilin, Alexandria; one brother, Esta Adams, Anderson; two sisters, Marjorie Michael, Chesterfield; Bonnie Maddox, Alexandria; seven grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Heabert B. Wood; and daughter, Barbara Ann Wood.
Services were at 10 a.m. April 6 at Rozelle Johnson Funeral Service with the Rev. Tom LaHue officiating. Burial followed at Parkview Cemetery in Alexandria. 'emorial axi buttons may be made to the Vermillion Christian Church Building Fund through the funeral home.
