Graveside services for Dennis Heath, 70, of Portales, will be held at 2:00 PM, Fri., July 17, 2020 in the Portales Cemetery with Rev. Brad Morgan officiating. Military honors will be rendered by members of American Legion Post 31, Portales. All friends will be honorary pallbearers.

Dennis Glen Heath was born Feb. 4, 1950 in Sunny, WA to the home of Donna J. (Mynear) and Joseph S. Heath and died at his home in Portales on the morning of July 15, 2020. Mr. Heath grew up in Wichita, KS. He entered the US Marine Corps where he served in Vietnam. After returning home, he purchased a farm near El Dorado, KS. In 2000 he moved to Buckeye, AZ where he worked at a shooting range. Mr. Heath came to Portales in 2017, and on Jan. 27, 2018, he was married to his high school sweetheart, Lois Lovett. They made their home west of Portales. Dennis enjoyed target shooting and skeet shooting. His real passion was his two horses, Dante and Rusti.
