Derrick A. Davis, age 34, of Forest City, died Friday, July 3, 2020 at his residence.
Derrick was born August 17, 1985 in Burke County to Herman and Linda Davis who reside in Forest City.
He was a talented metal and leather worker and was a handyman who used his skills to help others. He attended The Life Center in Lenoir and was known for his athletic ability during his school years. He loved spending time with his children.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Angel Davis; brothers, Sonny Lee Davis, and Ray Eugene Davis; grandparents, Herman and Marie Davis and Leroy and Pearline Doby.
In addition to his loving parents, those left to cherish his memory include five children, Bryson, Mason, Carson, Benson and Keirrah Davis all of the home; five sisters, Linda Morris (James), Thelma Campbell, Camillia Higgins (Rick), Vickie Price (Ricky) all of Burke County and Beverley Conner (Joe) of Lake Lure. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, July 10, 2020 at Rutherford County Memorial Cemetery with Reverend Ernie Cole officiating. The family requests that face masks be worn by all attendees.
