Mrs. John A. Trainer, 79, died at the home of her sister, Mrs. H. B. Marshall, at Burnsville, West Virginia on Monday, March 22, 1948.

She was born December 25, 1868 in Florence, Nebraska, the daughter of Peter and Mattie Gilbertson. On October 15th, 1891 she was married to John Allan Trainer, a native of Cairo, West Virginia, who preceded her in death. They came to Cairo soon after their marriage and had lived there for the past fifty years.

At the age of 18 she united with the Lutheran Church at Orum, Nebraska, and upon coming to Cairo she became a member of the W.S.C.S. of the Methodist Church. She was a charter member of the Cairo Chapter of the Eastern Star.

Survivors are two brothers, Fred Gilbertson, Omaha, Nebraska and Ed Gilbertson, Lynwood, California and two sisters, Mrs. Chas. T. Daffer, Omaha Nebraska and Mrs. H. B. Marshall of Burnsville, West Virginia.

Funeral services were held on Wednesday, March 24, at 2 p.m. at Cairo in the Methodist Church, and burial in the Cairo I.O.O.F. cemetery.
