Wililam Oakley Gaddy was born at Onley, IL March. 31, 1887 and died at Galesburg, IL May 21, 1926 at the age of 39 years, 1 month and 21 days He came to Iowa in 1911 where he resided for a time and was married to Miss Cora Stanley of Newell on Oct. 21, 1914. One child was born them which died in infancy. Most of their married life was spent in Illinois with the exception of about four years- which was spent in the vicinity of Fonda. He suffered a paralytic stroke on May 3rd, and suffered continually until his death came. He is survived by his wife, three
sisters and five brothers and many other relatives and friends. The body was brought to Newel Saturday night, accompanied by his wife and her parents, Mr. and Mrs. C. E. Stanley and her brother Roy, who had been called to his bedside during his illness.
