Ann Sherrill was the eldest daughter of Oregon trail pioneers James Sherrill and Mary Ann Evans.
Ann married Constant Barchus on February 16, 1871. Ann was 17 and Constant was 25 years old. Constant purchased their marriage license on Valentines Day, February 14th. Two days later, the wedding was held at Ann's home, on her parents farm near the Willamette River. Ann and Constant were married by J. N. Bank, minister of the Gospel. Ann's maternal grandfather, Richard Evans, and her uncle, Edward Evans, signed as witnesses to the happy event. Richard gave the couple a beautifully illustrated Bible with a hand carved cover "C. Barchus and A. E. Barchus".

Later, Ann and Constant moved to Washington state where they began another farm.
Per verbal family history: Eliza served as a midwife, details are unknown. She died while traveling to visit her newborn grandson, Kenneth Alvin Dellinger, born three days prior in Vancouver, WA.
Ann Sherrill passed away in September 22, 1920 in Heison, Clark, Washington, USA. [1]
Ann was buried at Mountain View Cemetery, La Center. Her memorial has photos and links to those of family members.
