Margaret Helen Lafferty-Osborne, 73, of Matheny, WV went home to be with the Lord on Saturday July 11, 2020 at Raleigh General Hospital, Beckley, WV. Margaret was a homemaker and a member of Faith Baptist Church.
She was born on January 24, 1947 in Matheny, WV a daughter of the late Bennie Talley Lafferty (1911-1986) and Ida Belcher-Lafferty (1912-2002). In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her loving husband, Landy Lay Osborne (1947-2016) whom she married on November 25, 1967 in Kopperston, Wyoming County, WV (per WV Marriage License Register, Wyoming County, WV, 1967, Page 331, Application Date: November 20, 1967); one sister, Vena Lafferty (Deceased); and two brothers, Walter Silas Lafferty (1944-2016) and William "Bill" Lafferty (Deceased).
Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter, Vickie Osborne-Bailey & husband Iverson Bailey of Matheny; a sister, Dixie Lafferty-Cook & husband David Cook of Jesse; a brother, Benny Lafferty & wife Virginia Lafferty of Matheny; special friends, Iris Workman, Becky Workman, Bert Short, III, Pastor Johnny Toler, and Sandra Dove; and a host of nieces, nephews and other loving family and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Thursday, July 16, 2020 in the Chapel of Stafford Family Funeral Home, Lynco with Pastor Johnny Toler officiating. She will be laid to rest in Palm Memorial Gardens, Matheny, WV.
