Robert. my great grand uncle, is the son of James Hoover and Susan G Moore. Robert married Mary Jane Jeffries on 15 Feb 1866 in Bedford Co, TN.

THE PARIS MORNING NEWS, Saturday, September 22, 1917: 'R. W. Hoover, aged seventy-nine years, died at 10 o'clock last night at the home of his daughter, Mrs. J. P. Brittain, on south Eighteenth street. He had been in failing health for a year or more and for the past several days his death was expected at any time.

The deceased was a native of Tennessee and was an ex-Confederate soldier. He came to Paris about sixteen years ago from his native state with his daughter, with whom he made his home, his wife having died before he left Tennessee.

Besides his daughter he is survived by five sons, John R. and R. L. Hoover of Paris, L. R. Hoover of Greenville, C. D. Hoover of Amarillo and E. B. Hoover of Louisville, Ky, all of whom are well known. The funeral service will be held at 4 o'clock this afternoon at his late residence, and the interment will be at Evergreen cemetery.'
