MIDDLETOWN, Conn. -Patricia Lynn Steller, 43, died Monday, Nov. 1, in Middletown.
She resided on Red Orange Road and was formerly of Hoosick Falls, N.Y.
She was born Oct. 20, 1950, in Hoosick Falls, daughter of the late Arthur and Ruth (Peters) Van Der Kar. She was educated at Hoosick Falls Central School, graduating in 1968. She was employed at the Wesleyan College in the maintenance department at the time of her death. While residing in Hoosick Falls, she was active with both the Little League Baseball and the Miss Softball League as a coach. She also enjoyed woodworking and restoring furniture.
Survivors include a son, Matthew Steller of Old Orchard Beach, Maine; three sisters, Shirley Van Der Kar of Troy, N.Y., Annette Powers of Hoosick Falls and Sandra Van Der Kar of Petersburgh, N.Y.; two brothers, Gerald Van Der Kar of Hoosick Falls and John Van Der Kar of North Hoosick; a step brother, Arthur Van Der Kar of Hoosick Falls; a stepsister, Marjorie Hulihan of Highland Mills, N.Y.; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
She was predeceased by a son, Howard Steller, and a brother, Kenneth Van Der Kar.
Funeral services will be Friday at 11 a.m. from the Mahar Funeral home, 43 Main St. in Hoosick Falls. Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery in Hoosick Falls.
Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the Town of Hoosick Rescue Squad through the funeral home.
