EMIGSVILLE Kathryn J. "Joyce" May, 76, formerly of Williamsport, died Wednesday, August 29, 2007, at her home, following an extended illness. Her husband, Charles W.H. May, died on March 4, 1997. Joyce was a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church, Emigsville, an avid bingo player, and enjoyed sewing and shopping. Born October 27, 1930, in Williamsport, she was the daughter of the late Charles Emory and Lucretia M. Frantz Stroup. Surviving are sons, Kenneth E.T. of Fresno, Calif., Mark D.W. of York, and Kraig E.D. of Mt. Wolf; daughters, Cynthia A.L. Calaman of Galeton and Sherry L.A. Riggin of Mt. Wolf; brothers, William E. Stroup of Long Beach, Miss., and Curtis F. Stroup of El Paso, Texas; sisters, Charlotte I. Schreppel and Mary R. Kuhns, both of Williamsport; 10 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren. Burial will be at Balls Mills Cemetery.
