Curtis Franz Stroup, 76, of Moody, Texas, passed away on Friday, November 30, 2018.

A celebration of his life will be from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 5, 2018, Cole Funeral Home, McGregor, Texas. Curtis will enter his final place of rest in Balls Mills Cemetery in Hepburn Township, Pennsylvania in the spring of 2019.

Mr. Stroup was born on October 26, 1942, in Williamsport, Pennsylvania to Charles Emory Stroup and Lucretia May Frantz Stroup. He grew up in Williamsport and graduated from Williamsport High School. Curtis served in the United States Air Force, as a munitions specialist, in Bitburg, Germany. He was an avid carpenter and fly fisherman, loved the Penn State Nittany Lions, and building airplanes. He enjoyed fine wine, crossword puzzles, collecting tools, and entering the Publisher’s Clearing House Sweepstakes.

Curtis was preceded in death by his parents, and his beloved American Bulldog, Hercules.

Survivors include his daughter, Nicole Hawkins and husband, Brian, Dawn McGlone and husband, Mike; grandchildren, Shelby Adkins and husband, Adam, Tyler Klamert and fiancé, Anna, Sydnie Evans and husband, Terrance, Bree Colbert, Jacob and Julya Colbert; brother, William Stroup and family; sisters, Mary Kuhns and family, Charlotte Schreppel and family; Marcy M. Smith; Joe Klamert; and close friend, Terry.
