___
Virgil, the oldest son of Curtis Aikin, was run over by a farm wagon loaded with furniture and killed, yesterday noon, on the New Hartford road, three miles west of Pittsfield.
The family were moving from the Walker place near New Hartford, to a farm near Salem, recently bought by Mr. Aikin. Virgil was walking by the side of the wagon, driving, and was struck by the hub of the front wheel, and thrown under the wagon, so that the hind wheel passed over him, crushing the life out of him.

___
The body was taken to the home of Mrs. Barney Willsey, nearby. The young man was married only a few months ago, to a daughter of Supervisor William Shinn, of New Hartford.
