Freddie R. Wilson, 75, of Vermilion, passed away Saturday, December 1, 2018, at his home after a brief illness.

Freddie was born November 9, 1943, in Mobile, AL, and he had been a Vermilion resident for the past 60 years, moving from Memphis. He was a veteran of the Army.

Freddie worked at Ford Automotive Company as a repair man and on the rails before retiring in 2004.

He was a member of the UAW# 425 and the VFW Post 1079, Elyria. He enjoyed spending time with his family.

He is survived by his sons, Larry (Kris) Wilson, of Vermilion, Marty (Christy) Wilson, of Sheffield Lake, and Josh (Chelsie Hensley) Wilson, of Vermilion; daughter, Debbie Wilson; grandchildren, Samantha, Raymond, Patrick, Dylon, Dalton, Bella, Josh Jr., and Jazmine; two great-grandchildren; brother, William T. Wilson, Jr. of Houston, TX; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Loretta (nee Dempsey) Wilson; and parents, William T. and Florence (nee Patterson) Wilson.

Graveside services will be held Saturday, December 8, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Maple Grove Cemetery, Vermilion. Pastor Mark Jones will officiate. Military honors will be presented by the VFW Post 1079 Honor Guard, Elyria.
