Linda Lee Bond, age 71 passed away Thursday morning, July 9, 2020 at IU Health Bloomington Hospital. She was a resident of Nashville.

Linda was born October 1, 1948 in Indianapolis to her parents, the late Thomas and Beulah (Pedigo) Applegate. She was a 1966 graduate of Brown County High School and later married James “Jim” Bond on November 26, 1971 in Bloomington. He lovingly survives after 48 devoted years of marriage.

Linda worked for RCA in Bloomington until she settled down with Jim and began their family. Together they raised their children Leanna, Joey, Lorelle and Josh. She was a very loving and dedicated wife, mother and grandmother. Family meant everything to her.

Linda was a 30-year member of the Nashville Christian Church and taught Sunday School alongside her husband. She loved traveling to the Smokey Mountains, taking care of her animals and reading books about the Amish and supporting their businesses. Linda looked forward to the holiday season, because she enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family. She enjoyed collecting Boyds Bears, Longaberger baskets, and spending time on Twitter and Pinterest. Most of all Linda will be remembered for her love of family an unyielding faith in God.

Linda will be missed by her husband, Jim, children: Leanna (Jon) Day of Mitchell, Joey (Andy) Bond of Nashville, Lorelle Bond of Bloomington, and Josh (Andrea) Bond of Nashville, grandchildren: Logan Minnett-Bond, Jared Bond, Bryce Bond, Ellie Bond, Domonick Bond, and sister Annie (Loren) Jackson of New Castle.

She was preceded in death by her parents, infant son James Douglas Bond, several siblings, and her black labs: Lilly and Maddie.

The Rev. Patrick Glasser and Rev. Kendall Yeaton will conduct a funeral service at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday at the Nashville Christian Church, 160 S. Van Buren St. in Nashville. Friends may call from 4 – 8 p.m. Monday at the church. Burial will be at Bond Cemetery in Nashville. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Meredith-Clark Funeral Home Cremation & Personalization Center in Morgantown.
