Agnes Dupuis Dwyer, a retired U.S. Postal Service employee at Louisiana State Penitentiary, Angola, died at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 30, 2007, at Lane Regional Medical Center, Zachary. She was a resident of Tunica and a native of Breaux Bridge.

Visiting at Mount Carmel Catholic Church in St. Francisville on Saturday, Sept. 1, from 10:30 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 a.m. Entombment in the church mausoleum.

She is survived by a daughter, Nicky Dwyer Lea, of DeRidder; son, Harry Dwyer Jr., of San Jose, Calif.; godchild, Anna Lee Hollier, of Lafayette; eight grandchildren, Harry Dwyer III, Kenneth Dwyer, J.D. Dwyer, Aurelia Hill, Kelly Harris, Wendy Lea, JoAnn Lea and Nicole Lea; 16 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by her husband, Harry Dwyer Sr.; parents, Adam and Aurelia Dupuis; two brothers, Abraham Dupuis and Percy Dupuis; and two sisters, Bernice Mestayer and Maude Marks.

The family would like to express their deep gratitude to Mary Posey, Denise Davis, friends and neighbors, Dr. Clayton Brown and the staff and Lane Regional Medical Center for their care and support.

She was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church in Tunica.
