Obituary for Maria "Josefina" Zamora
Maria "Josefina" Zamora 74 of Kansas City, Kansas passed away Thursday, July 2, 2020, peaceful at her home surrounded by her loved ones. She was born September 14, 1945 in Zamora, Michoacan, Mexico. The Daughter of Alberto Zamora Roman and Maria de Los Angeles Rodriguez.
On September 13, 1967, Josefina was united in marriage to Jose "Rafael" Zamora. They shared over fifty years of marriage. To this union, they shared three sons; Gerardo, Jose & Ricardo.
Josefina was preceded in death by her loving husband of 51 years, Rafael Zamora; reunited with her parents Alberto and Angelita and her son Rica and 1 Granddaughter Alejandra in Eternal Life.
Josefina's loved cooking and hosting gatherings and parties at her home with a lot of dancing and music. Her joy was felt when her grandchildren were born: Ricardo, Marisela, Alexia, Mateo, and Valencia and enjoyed spoiling them with love and food. She and her husband spent many years assisting in Cursillo's and met many life-long friends, serving our God in anticipation of their reunion. We know that they are both together with their baby boy celebrating eternal life. Most of all Josefina loved spending time with her family and friends and she will be deeply missed by all but her spirit will continue in all of their lives forever...
She is survived by two sons, Gera Zamora and his wife Michelle Marquez-Zamora of Kansas City, Missouri and Jose Zamora and his wife Sandra Arellano of Kansas City, Kansas; Siblings Teresa, Esperanza, Antonia, Cecilia, Javier, Maria Elena, Manuel, Arturo, Salvador, Rosa, Jose Luis, and Alfonso and Grandchildren Ricardo, Marisela, Alexia, Mateo, and Valencia.
A Mass in Josefina's Honor at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with the burial at Maple Hill Cemetery later in the Afternoon.
