Hannah died 10 April 1896 in Chingacousy, Peel, Ont. His second marriage was on 10 October 1899 in Owen Sound to Martha Clay, daughter of Moses Clay and Eliza Ann Cascaden. Martha died in childbirth. William then married Maria Lambe, daughter of Henry Lambe and Susan Gambol in Owen Sound on 1st June 1905.
