Her mother was Eularia Tarsille Dugat (1822-1842) born in Lafayette, Louisiana. Her mothers parents were Joseph F. Dugat (1788-1838) and Marie Celina Breaux (1798-1860), from St. Martinsville, Louisiana. These were some of the earliest settlers in Texas. They were of French descent.
