Mr. Albert P. Ward Sr., 76, of Galesburg, passed away at 3:00 a.m. Thursday, July 2, 2020 in Mountain View, Arkansas, under the care of Legacy Hospice surrounded by his family.

He was born November 21, 1943 in Canton, Illinois the son of Kenneth and Mary (Colwell) Bowton.

He is survived by a son, Albert (Lisa) Ward, Jr. of West Virginia; two daughters, Lisa (Bob) Murray of Mountain View, Arkansas and Lori (Kevin) Wood of Hoxie, Arkansas; a brother, Kent (Becky) Bowton of Galesburg, Illinois and a sister Brenda (Steve) Watson of Florida; seven grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, James Allen Bowton.

Albert was an over the road truck driver for over 30 years, retiring in 1982. Albert proudly served his country in the U.S. Army. He was a Mason and a Shriner.

Graveside Memorial services will be held 10:00 a.m. Thursday, July 9, 2020 at Brunswick Cemetery near Trivoli, Illinois, Pastor Jordan Knight will be officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Legion Post 285 or the VFW. Hinchliff-Pearson-West Funeral Home and Cremation Services Galesburg Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements. Online condolences may be made at www.h-p-w.com
