Services for Mildred J. Vance, 76, of Winona, who died of heart failure Saturday, Sept. 3, 2005, at Tyler Holmes Memorial Hospital, will be at 2 p.m. today at Oliver Funeral Home.

Mrs. Vance was a retired employee of J.A. Olson. She was a member of the Church of God.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Simpson Vance; and a daughter, Alma Ruth Vance.

She is survived by three daughters, Carol Lindsey, Helen Gregg and Linda Dunn, all of Winona; a son, Jimmy Vance of Kilmichael; one sister, Charlotte Naron of California; eight brothers, Marty Evans of Oxford, Grady Evans of Michigan, Coy Evans of Avon, Mike Evans of Monroe, La., Bobby Evans and Lamar Evans, both of Greenville, Howard Evans of Tennessee, and Ted Evans of Crystal Springs; 10 grandchildren; six stepgrandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and one step-great-grandchild.

The Rev. Steve Griffin and the Rev. John Lumbley will officiate at the services.

Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery.

Visitation was from 5 until 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
