Jack Raymond Gray, 88, Cawood, KY passed away July 2, 2020, at home surrounded by his family, after a long illness. He did NOT have the Covid-19 Virus.

Jack was born Friday, February 26, 1932 in Alabama to W. N. Gray and Dicey Ellen Lawson Gray.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by several siblings. Brothers: James C. Gray, William Gray, Mason Gray, Caroll Gray, Ernest Gray, John Gray, Frank Gray, Harry Gray, Milton Gray; Sisters: Mamie Marcum, Nellie Turner, and Ellen Williams.

He leaves to mourn his passing his only sister, Bessie Lucille Gray Helton.

Several nieces and nephews also survive, as well as multiple friends. He really enjoyed going to Harlan Senior Citizens where he has many friends.

He was a faithful member of Cawood Presbyterian Church for which he attended all his life. He faithfully rang the church bell, unlocked the church, and took up the offering for more than 65 years.

In view of Covid-19 Regulations set forth by the government, there will be no formal Visitation or Funeral. A small gathering of his family and friends will be Saturday July 4, 2020 from 8:30 am -9:30 am Saturday at Anderson-Laws & Jones Funeral Home. Graveside services will follow at 10:00 am on Saturday July 4, 2020 at Fields Cemetery, Cawood, KY with Rev. Sean Daniels and Pastor Jody Napier officiating.

Pallbearers will be Theo McHargue, John McHargue, Chris Stringer, Caleb Helton, Johnny Helton, and John Helton.

Jack loved all the grandchildren and great grandchildren. He remembered all their full names and birthdays, even the year.
