Emma's parents were William A. Boyd and Lucy Meeker, both born in Ohio. Emma married Charles Ferdinand Bigford March 7, 1875 in Turkey Creek Township, Saline, Nebraska. They had three children, Charles Earnest Bigford, born 2 Dec 1875 in Nebraska, died 30 Jan 1958 in Riverside, California; Clyde Owen Bigford, born 18 Oct 1878 in Friend, Saline County, NE and died 14 Feb 1966 in Manhattan, Riley County, KS; and Frank Roy Bigford, born 8 Mar 1887 in Friend, Saline Co., NE, died Apr 1963 in Washington State. Emma's remains were buried 26 Nov 1952. Marjory Bell Bigford Gyger was Emma's granddaughter and the informant on her death certificate.
