Nan is survived by her husband and six daughters. A grandmother to ten and, as of April 1, 2020, a great-grandmother for the first time; she adored her grandchildren. Nan lived for her family, was the epitome of a knowledgeable and compassionate nurse, and loved her friends and laughter. She was a sharp poker player and enjoyed the slot machines when they would take off to the casino. The youngest of seven children, she was the last of her siblings. She will always be remembered for her smile and her giving nature. She never met a stranger. If one word could summarize her personality it would be unpretentious. She was one of a kind and will be missed.
Visitation will be Friday, July 3, 2020, at Gober Funeral Chapel from 5pm to 7pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be said at Saint William Catholic Church, Guntersville, Alabama, the following Saturday, for family only. Burial will be in Arab Memorial Cemetery.
