Formerly of Frankfort, Carl G. Bristow, 81, Venice, Florida, died there August 3, 2001.
Mr. Bristow was born July 5, 1920, in Frankfort. He moved to Venice from Logansport in 1995. He managed and owned tire stores throughout Indiana for more than 48 years and was executive director of the Indiana Tire Dealers and Retreaders Association for 10 years.
He was past president and district manager of the Logansport Evening Exchange Club, member of the American Legion and VFW and former member of the Helm Street Church of God, Logansport. He had been a member of the First Church of God in Venice.
Mr. Bristow's survivors include two daughters, Mary Potter of Cerritos, California and Sandra Weekly of Venice, Florida; a sister, Vashti Bottorff of Plymouth; six grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Goodwin Funeral Home, with visitation beginning at 10.
Burial will be in Bunnell Cemetery.
