She loved drinking coffee with family and friends, having her hair done and she loved animals. Her kind, caring actions and words taught all who knew her the definitions of love and family.
Mary is survived by two sons, Donald Vincent (Pamala) of Egan, LA, Vernice Joseph Vincent, Jr. of Gueydan, LA; her three daughters, Betty Smith (James Deany) of Gueydan, LA, Brenda Coleman (Danny) of Mowata, LA, Sharon Theriot (Kevin “Boo”) of Egan, LA; her three brothers, Carrol Lunson of Crowley, LA, Calvin Lunson of Egan, LA, Gerald Lunson of Egan, LA; her three sisters, Lorthy LeBouve of LA, Delores Broussard of LA, Rosa May Fabecher of Egan, LA; her eight grandchildren, Tomika, Lana, Kendra, Tory, Shala, Brody, Breyanna, Vernis, III,; her fourteen greatgrandchildren; her two great-great grandchildren and two more on the way.
Mary now rejoices in Heaven with her parents, Prosper and Adella Lunson; her husband, Vernice Vincent; her daughter, Janell Doucet; her sisters, Weda Menard, Lorita LaPoint, Luna Lunson, Renella Lunson, Mary Kathrine Kenair.
A Mass of Christian burial for Mary Rena Lunson Vincent, 83 of Egan, LA will be held at St Michael Catholic Church in Egan LA on Wednesday, July 1, 2020 at 10:00 AM with Father Jude Thierry officiating. A gathering of family and friends will be held at Matthews and Son Funeral Home on Tuesday, June 30, 2020 from 11:00 AM until 9:00 PM with a rosary recited at 6:00 PM. Visitation will resume on Wednesday at 8:00 AM until the time of her Funeral Mass. Mary will be laid to rest in Sensat Cemetery. Carrying Mary to her final resting place in Sensat Cemetery will be Grant Rose, Brody Coleman, Tory Theriot, Caleb Walls, Charles “Chuckie” Breaux, Kelly Labouef. Honorary pallbearers will be Donald Vincent, Vernice “Booger” Vincent, James “Deany” Smith, Danny Coleman, Kevin “Boo” Theriot.
