Clyde John Hawk, 73, of Ratcliff died Sunday, May 14, 2000, in a Fort Smith hospital.

He was a self-employed contractor and a Marine Corps veteran of World War II. He was a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church of Ratcliff and Little Creek Country Club. He was a Mason.

Funeral was at Caulksville Cumberland Presbyterian Church with burial at Garden of Memories Cemetery in Charleston under the direction of Smith Mortuary of Charleston.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Ann Hawk; three daughters, Susan Hawk of San Francisco, Debi Vardah of Placentia, Calif., and Kathy Koci of Hot Springs; one son, Bill of El Centro, Calif.; one sister, Louise Burnham of Coupeville, Wash.; two grandchildren, Desiree Canfield of Fort Smith and Amber Vogler of Placentia; and one great-grandchild.

Pallbearers were James Hawkins, Buz O'Neal, Mike Core, Jimmy Stubblefield, Mike Mahl and Danny Palarino.
