Jean L. Bennett, age 97, passed away Tuesday at her home in Carterville, Missouri.
Mrs. Bennett was born in Barnsdall, Oklahoma, on April 25, 1923, to John Lacy Million and Lillian Effie (Turner) Million. She graduated from Carterville High School. She was in show business for many years. She managed such musical groups as The Platters and worked with Dick Clark many times, along with many other celebrities.
Jean is survived by two daughters, Johnny Bennett Arrowood and her husband Jim, , Las Vegas, Nevada; three grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her mother in 1923; her father in 1955; her step-mother, Alice A McGrew Million, in 1983; and a grand-daughter, Tabitha Jean Arrowood.
No services have been planned at this time. Arrangements are under the direction of Simpson Funeral Home.
