Memorial services for Hugh Monroe Smith III, 67, of Tylertown, Mississippi will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Wednesday, July 1, 2020 at Capps Funeral Home.
Mr. Smith passed away at Southwest Mississippi Regional Medical Center in McComb, Mississippi on Thursday, June 25, 2020. He was born November 4, 1952 in New Orleans, Louisiana to the late Dorothy and Hugh Smith Jr. He is also preceded in death by his sister Amy Smith.
Mr. Hugh was a Christian farmer who loved his John Deere tractors and working the land. He was a hard worker who started working for the Walthall County Co-op in 1976 and ended up being the President and CEO of the company. Mr. Hugh also enjoyed woodworking, traveling, camping where he was a member of several camping organizations, listening to country music and just enjoyed life in general.
Survivors include his wife of 6 years Mary Jane Smith; daughter Wendy (Josh) Warren; Bradley (Ashley) Holly; Ricky (Denise) Smith; sisters Angie (Dickie) Foil and Rebecca Stogner; grandchildren Justin Warren, Brooke Warren, Madelyn Holly, Ainsley Holly, and Ryker Holly.
Visitation will be at Capps Funeral Home on Wednesday, July 1, 2020 from 11:00 A.M. until service time at 1:00 P.M.
