Dana L. Freeman, age 65, of Silver Springs, New York, passed away unexpectedly on June 22, 2020. He was born on March 8, 1955 in Warsaw, New York a son of the late Bernie and Thelma Bowles Freeman.
Dana owned and operated the Freeman Construction Company, building homes throughout the area for over thirty years. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed tractor pulling. Dana was a member of the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation and the Safari Club International as well as the Empire State Tractor Pull Association.
He was an avid Buffalo Bills fan and New York Yankee fan and Dana loved his dogs, Benelli and Ember.
Surviving are his fiancé, Roxanne Jacoby; step-children, Brooke (Dennis) Harris of California, Courtney (Jason) Montgomery of Castile, Josh Rewa of Warsaw; his sister, Donna (Mark) Hootman of Pike; his brother, Dennis (Penny) Freeman of Pike; nieces and nephews, Amy (Roger) Sterry of Pike, Jason (Shannon) Hootman of Corfu, Andy (Lori) Freeman of Arcade, Ashley (Rick) Eakins of Potsdam; great-nieces and great-nephews, Kortney, Jordan, Konner, Megan, Owen, Jayden, Cole and Trenton.
Friends may call on Monday, June 29th, from 2–7 PM, at the Robinson and Hackemer Funeral Home 246 North Main Street in Warsaw. Dana’s Funeral Service will be held privately on Tuesday morning, with his private burial in the Glenwood Cemetery, Perry. A public Celebration of His Life will begin on Tuesday, June 30th, at 1 PM, in 5 South Division Street Pike, New York.
