POPULAR MAN DIES ON OPERATING TABLE

Dan Bristow, 21, until last August employed in the local Ben Franklin Store where he was being trained as a manager, died at the Robert Long hospital, Tuesday, at 3 p.m. Mr. Bristow, taken ill while here, went to his home in Spencer, Indiana, where his condition grew gradually worse and he was removed to the hospital in Indianapolis for an operation, performed Tuesday, for removal of a tumor at the base of the brain.
Mr. Bristow was a cousin of Charles McAlister, and while here made his home with the McAlisters. Mr. McAlister and Rev. John W. Borders of the M. E. Church, were at the hospital at the time of the operation.
Funeral services are to be conducted today, (Thursday) at 1 p.m. from the Christian church, and burial will be made at Bunnell cemetery, in Frankfort.
During his residence in Fairmount, Mr. Bristow made a large circle of friends by his uniformly courteous conduct and upright business conducts, and his passing will be mourned by many other than his immediate family and relatives.

Daniel Bristow Expires After Operation
Frankfort, Ind., Dec. 1 - (Tribune Special) - Daniel Bristow, 22, a native of Frankfort, died Tuesday afternoon at the Robert Long hospital in Indianapolis, following an operation.
A son of Daniel and Mable (Brittain) Bristow, he was born in this city Sept. 28, 1915, and lived here until six years old when his family moved to Gary. Later, the family resided in Plymouth where he was graduated from the Tiner high school. At the time he became ill he was employed in Fairmount. He was a member of the Christian church of Spencer, Ind.
Surviving are the parents; a sister, Mrs. Glen Bottorff of Plymouth; a brother, Carl Bristow, at home, and his maternal grandmother, Mrs. E. M. Brittain of Spencer.
The body was brought to this city and taken to the Goodwin Brothers funeral home where final rites will be held Thursday morning at 11 o'clock with burial in Bunnell cemetery.
