Services for Donald L. Brewster, 64, Lawrence, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Warren-McElwain Mortuary. Burial will be in Underwood Cemetery, Jefferson County.

Mr. Brewster died Wednesday, June 20, 2001, at Colmery-O'Neil Veterans Administration Hospital, Topeka.

He was born Aug. 4, 1936, in Lawrence, the son of Albert and Laura (Mason) Brewster.

Mr. Brewster was a U.S. Air Force veteran. He owned Brewster Construction Co., where he worked as a home builder. He also owned Northstar Realty, where he was a Realtor/broker. He graduated from Gemological Institute of America.

He was a member of Lawrence Heights Christian Church.

He married Patricia O. Baker June 12, 1953, in Lawrence. She survives of the home.

Other survivors include two daughters, Gayle Davenport, Lawrence, and Cynthia Lynn Brewster, Edwardsville; two sons, Donald L. Jr., Shawnee, and Kyle, Topeka; five brothers, Glen, San Jose, Calif., Ernest, Baldwin, William, Santa Ana, Calif., Gerald, San Luis Obispo, Calif., and Philip, Lawrence; two half-brothers, Albert H. Brewster Jr., Norman, Okla., and Tharold Brewster, Clarksville, Tex.; a half-sister, Rose Fowler, Linwood; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
