Opal M. King, 97, of Haileyville, passed away on Monday, June 22, 2020 at her home.

The family will welcome friends at Brumley-Mills Funeral Home in Hartshorne for visitation on Wednesday from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 25, 2020 at the First Baptist Church in Haileyville with Rev. Terry Sensibaugh officiating. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery in Hartshorne.

She was born on August 28, 1922 at Ti Valley, Oklahoma to James and Emmy (Holt) Sensibaugh. She retired from the McAlester Army Ammunition Plant, Haileyville School and the nursing home. She enjoyed working in her yard and spending time with all of her grandchildren.

Survivors include her children, Anna Lou and Doug Wood, Billie Jean Morgan; daughter-in-law, Becky King; brothers, Skip Sensibaugh and Clarence Sensibaugh; grandchildren and spouses, Sheryl and Kristi Freeman, Staci and Shawn Curliss, Melissa and Kevin Christopher, Karri and Skip Teafatiller, Joe David and Jennifer King, Wade Stacey King, Julie and J.C. Kitchell; great-grandchildren, Tabitha Curliss, Whitlie and Freddie James, Maleri Camp, Shyane and Dave Mass, Samantha, Abigail, Jonathon and Treyce Morgan, Zane and Kaden Teafatiller, Trent Kitchell, Jaycee Kitchell, Payton, Preston, Tanner and Jayla King, Daxton, Katy, Joelea, Kelsy, Mayce and Sidnee King; great-great-grandchildren, Deacon James, Lane and Grayson Mass, John, Ricky, Rayge, Raider and Cutler Gibson, Chandler and Clayton Johnson.



She was preceded in death by her husband, Perry King; parents, Emmy Holt and James Sensibaugh; children, Patricia Freeman, Joe King and Perry King; grandchildren, John and Dana Morgan, and Jennifer King; great-grandchild, Jordan Lexie Teafatiller; brothers, Orville, B.J., Garland, Lee and Dean Sensibaugh; sisters, JoAnne “Josie” James, Marie Bettine and Lucille Millus.
