JOHN A. BENNETT KANSAS John A. Bennett, 56, of rural Kansas died at 1 p.m. Tuesday in Charleston Community Hospital.
Funeral services will be held at 1 :30 p.m. Thursday in Sutton and Son Funeral Home, Kansas, with burial in Fairview Cemetery, Kansas.
Mr. Bennett was born in Edgar County, the son of Brent A. and Winona Bennett. He married Laura Kirknam in 1950. She survives.
Also surviving are six sons, Keith of Lexington, Ky.; Kevin of Ashmore; Ross, Roland, Loren and Gerald, all at home; one daughter, Luana at home; one brother, Robert of Chrisman; and one sister, Mrs. Harold Tipsword of Shelbyville.
He was a member of Pleasant Hill Christian Church of Kansas, Kansas American Legion Post, 40 and 8 Club, Civil Defense Police Unit and the Kansas Library Board.
