Heaven gained a fine gentleman on Saturday, June 13, 2020, when Von Foster left this Earth after a short illness. He was a great husband, father, son, and brother. He loved his family dearly but loved his Lord and Savior above all others.

On July 22, 1934, he was born in McNairy County, the son of John Henry and Florida Bell Foster. He had ten brothers and sisters and some were already waiting on him to arrive in Heaven. He was preceded in death by his parents and the following brothers and sisters: Joyce Whitehead, Quinn Congiardo, Gene Foster, Herman Foster, and Leon Foster. How they rejoiced to greet him when he arrived home!

In 1955, he moved to Jackson, Tennessee, where he met his future wife, Rubye Allene Lewis. They were married in 1956 and enjoyed 64 wonderful years together. Von worked for National Foods, Wonder Bread, Frito-Lay, Eagle Snacks, and owned his own candy and snack distributing company, Foster Distributing, for many years. He loved people and ended his work career at K-Mart where he got to visit and make new friends every day.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Rubye, daughters Carol Yvonne Byrd, Kimberly Kay Wehner (Tim) and grandchildren Tracey Carol Byrd, Foster Clay Byrd, Kaylie Brooke Garner (Ryan) and Caroline Corinne Wehner. Surviving siblings are Kathleen Poole (Walter), Patsy McCormick (James), Lola M. Ada (Wayne), Felicia Shaffer (Brad), and last, but certainly not least, John Robert Foster (Sheilla). Dear Ones, do not worry. There are still plenty of seats open at the banquet table when we all meet again.

We are grateful for his humble godliness and the example he set for us in his daily walk with Christ. We believe that faith, hope, and love will last forever. But the greatest of these is love. 1 Corinthians 13:13.
