Earl T Boyd, 80 Humboldt, died yesterday, March 14, at the Neosho Memorial Hospital in Chanute following an illness of one year.

Mr. Boyd was born September 14, 1893, in Humboldt.

A veteran of World War I, he was a retired cement contractor. He was a member of the Poplar Grove Baptist Church.

He was married to Berdie Tinch in 1919 at Humboldt. She died June 17, 1946.

Survivors include three daughters, Darlene Willord, Memphis, Earlene Boyd, Humboldt and Marjorie Harper, Kansas City; four sons, Robert Boyd, Humboldt, Sgt Thomas Boyd (retired), Tacoma, Washington, St. John Boyd, New York, and Sgt. James Boyd, Ft. Hood, Texas, 17 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

A son William Boyd, preceded his father in death.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. tomorrow at the Poplar Grove Baptist Church. The Rev C H Jackson will officiate. Burial will be in the Mount Hope Cemetery at Humboldt. The Price Funeral Home, Humboldt, is in charge of arrangements.
