Services for James E. Humphries will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, June 23, 2020 in the Chapel of Hixson Brothers, Pineville with Reverend Kevin Simmons officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Pollock.
The family requests that visitation be observed Monday, June 22, 2020 at Hixson Brothers, Pineville from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and Monday from 8:30 a.m. until time of service.
Mr. Humphries, 70, of Pollock passed from this life, Saturday, June 13, 2020 at his residence.
During his working career he was a manager at Procter and Gamble. He was a member of Wayside Baptist Church. Mr. Humphries was an avid outdoorsman, he loved his canines and was a PAWS Advocate. He was a strong disciplinarian and would council any you person who he came in contact with. He loved time spent with his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his son, Jimmy Wayne Humphries; parents, John Brooks Humphries, Sr. and Edna Lou Edwards Humphries; brother, John Brooks Humphries, Jr.
Those left to cherish his memory include his son, Brandon Humphries; sister, Carolyn Humphries Woodruff; six grandchildren, James, Raven Celeste, Paydon Sage, Phoenix Camille, Merek Zane and Brittin; two great granddaughters, Roya and Athena and a host of other family members and friends.
Pallbearers will be Brandon Humphries, James Wood-Humphries, Jeff Coody, B. J. Simpson, George Hines and Mike Eyre.
