Charlotte Rosene (Parsons) Harris, Born on Nov. 2, 1860 in Portland, Maine and was the daughter of, Elizabeth Ellen (Libby), and Joseph Beals Parsons. She was united in marriage April 16, 1884 in Portland, Cumberland Co., Maine to George Bartol Harris. He passed in 1915. Charlotte was formerly of Portland, Maine. Mrs. Harris, who died Wednesday at Grand Rapids, Mich., where she had resided about 25 years. She had been hospitalized since Thanksgiving Day, when she fell and fractured her hip. Charlotte and George had six daughters and one son from their marriage.

Her son Norwood Harris, a veteran of World War One and for many years a Portland resident, died in 1929 from illness contracted in his Army Service. Pulmonary TB
Services for Charlotte were held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday in the chapel of James A. Martin & Sons, Myrtle Street. Interment will be Forest City Cemetery.
