In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Janice Riddle and Mrs. Elizabeth Biegler; three sons, William, Walter, and Allan and thirteen grandchildren.
A son,( Robert L.) ; a grandson, (William Dale Atkins) and two sisters, (Nora Atkin and Mamie Atkins Classen) preceded him in death.Prior in tetirement in 1960, he was employed 10 years in the mainntenance department at the Bloomington Daily Pantagraph. He formerly drove a bread truck for the Minier Bakery.
Mr. Atkins was a member of the Minier United Methodist Church was a World War I veteran.
