Joseph Mike Taylor was called home on Saturday, June 6, 2020. He was born March 9, 1964 and was the tenth child of Rodery and Bertina Taylor.
Joseph, known as Mike, worked as an auto mechanic for many people in the area. He loved to laugh, joke, dance and help others when he could. He was a free spirit.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his father, Joseph Rodery Taylor of Arnaudville; two brothers, Joseph Patrick Taylor of New Iberia and Joseph Roderick Taylor and his wife, Betty, of Arnaudville; six sisters, Margaret Wiles and her husband, Harry, of Arnaudville, Powalita Babineaux of Lafayette, Mary Lee Elder Taylor of Lafayette, Mary Jane Daigle and her husband, Orell, of Arnaudville, Mary Sandra Broussard and her husband, Earl, of Lafayette and Sue Ann Girouard and her husband, Anthony, of Lafayette; and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Bertina Taylor; one sister, Laura Ann Taylor; and one brother-in-law, Joseph Nelton Babineaux.
Pallbearers will be Jason Wiles, Cottrell Taylor, Jamal Taylor, Patrick Taylor, Jr., Adrian Broussard and Cleveland Solomon. Honorary pallbearers will be Joseph Patrick Taylor, Sr., Joseph Roderick Taylor, Orell Daigle, Earl Broussard, Harry L. Wiles, Sr. and Anthony Girouard.
