Lenora married J H Yarboro/Yarborough on 19 Jan 1865 in Cleveland Co NC. In 1880 they are living in Rutherford Co NC with 2 daughters and Mary Stroud, 75, listed as mother-in-law to James, and Louisa Stroud, 38, listed as sister but should probably show sister-in-law.
In 1900, Lenora is widowed. She told the census taker that she had given birth to 3 children, only 1 still living. In her household are Paul S Yarboro, son, Lile Scruggs, age 9, grandson and Jamie Scruggs, age 7, grandson. These 2 grandchildren are also enumerated in the 1900 household of their father who had just remarried.
Lenora's estate was settled in Rutherford Co in 1909. The handwriting is hard to read but one of the first entries on the accounting is for funeral expenses paid on 17 Nov 1906. It can be assumed this expense was paid shortly after her death. It is also assumed that she is buried in this cemetery with her husband and 2 of her children. The administrator of her estate was J B Blanton. Agatha Stroud married James Bailey Blanton, both of whom are also buried in this cemetery. Agatha Stroud was the daughter of Thomas Stroud, who died in 1858, and Mary Evans. All of this information leads me to believe that Lenora was the youngest child of Thomas and Mary. She is not listed in their 1850 household because she was living with her married sister, Juliet Stroud McBrayer.
