A native of Gloucester County, she made her home on the Peninsula for many years. She was a graduate of Buxton Hospital's School of Nursing and was an active alumni in the urses Association. She was also a long-time volunteer with the American Red Cross Bloodmobile and a member of Hidenwood Presbyterian Church, Newport News, and the
Warwick Yacht Club.
Survived by a daughter, Frances K. Moppett of West Mystic; three sons, George A. Kahle Jr. of Vero Beach, Fla., Douglas E. Kahle of Virginia Beach and David W. Kahle of
Newport News; a sister, Ordale Dietrick of Tuckahoe, N.J.; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation from 7 to 8 p.m. Friday at Hogg Funeral Home, Gloucester Point. Funeral at 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Burial in Gloucester Point Cemetery.
