Ebenezer Richards served as corporal in Capt. Ebenezer Battles' company, Colonel McIntosh's regiment, at the fortifying of Dorchester Heights. Later he served as sergeant in the same regiment.
Married on December 24, 1741 to Thankful Stratton of Cambridge; lived in the original homestead at Dedham, Massachusetts. He was admitted as a member to the First Parish Church 20 Sep 1741, and was Deacon in First Church in Dedham.
