Martha Ann Mahaffey, age 64, of Shelbina, MO, passed away Friday, June 5, 2020, while surrounded by her family near Wright City, MO.
Martha was born on May 15, 1956, in Hannibal, Missouri, the daughter of Everett J. and Dorothy L. (Brandt) Pogue. She grew up in Shelbina and was a member to the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses of Shelbina. Martha worked at Dairy Freeze in Shelbina. She enjoyed fishing and music. She especially enjoyed playing her keyboard, organ, and accordion. She had several pets over the years which she cared for dearly. Most of all, she loved her family, and cherished her time spent with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her three children, Rachel Mahaffey of Shelbina, MO, Serena Rupert (David) of Shelbyville, MO, and Robin Mahaffey (Steve) of Wright City, MO; nine grandchildren, Tanner, Destiny, Brock, Michelle, Caitlin, Zander, Aundrayce, Teddy, and Evangelina; five great-grandchildren; two brothers, Everett and Billy Pogue of Shelbina, MO; and the love of her life, Teddy Mahaffey.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Mary Zumwalt; and one niece, Misty Simpson.
Graveside services will be held at 3:00 pm on Monday, June 8, 2020, at the Shelbina Cemetery in Shelbina, MO. Visitation will precede the graveside starting at 2:00 pm at the Greening-Eagan-Hayes Funeral Home in Shelbina, MO. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society. Arrangements are under the direction of the Greening-Eagan-Hayes Funeral Home of Shelbina.
