Obituary: Dothan Eagle, 13 December 1944
A.A. KINGRY DIES AT DOTHAN HOSPITAL
A.A. Kingry, 73, of Cottonwood, died in a Dothan hospital early this morning following an illness of several weeks. Before retiring three years ago, he operated a store in Cottonwood for 30 years. He was a member of the Hickory Grove Church.
Funeral services are to be held tomorrow afternoon at 2:30 at the Cottonwood Baptist Church with the Rev. John Eden of Cottonwood officiating.
Surviving are ; five sons, AC Kingry, Cottonwood; EF Kingry of Dothan; AL Kingry and JH Kingry, Marianna; GK Kingry, Stewart, Fla.; two daughters, Mrs. Arnold Day, Ashford, and Mrs. Bloss Bell, Malone, Fla.; 20 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Burial will be held in Cottonwood Cemetery, Ward-Wilson in charge.
Active pallbearers will be his five sons and two sons-in-law.
Honorary pallbearers: Joe Cook, Fred Snell, Will Kelly, Bill Cain, Henry Brown, John W. White, JW Calhoune, WM Lewis, Sr., Jim Thaggard, EE Henry, Joe Beall, Curtis West, Jim Adams, JE Adams, Lloyd Green, OW Rudd, Dr. DM Hicks, and JL McNeal.
