John H. Evans, 65, died Sunday night after an illness of about four days. He came here with his son-in-law, W. W. Steidley about ten days ago from Henryetta, Okla.
He is survived by his daughter, Mrs. W. W. Steidley and a sister Mrs. Catherine Turley of Eufaula, Oklahoma. [Mary Catherine Evans Turley 1866-1947]
His body will be shipped to Henryetta Cemetery, Oklahoma where interment will be held. A surviving son-in-law resides in Henryetta.
