EVELYN BLAUVELT, 86, of WALL, died peacefully Thursday, Aug. 16, at Sunrise Assisted Living of Wall. Born in West Orange, she resided in Colts Neck, Mantoloking, and Brielle before moving to Wall 10 years ago. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who centered her life around family and her unwavering Catholic faith. Evelyn was a communicant of St. Denis Church, Manasquan.
Evelyn was predeceased by her husband, John J., in 1997. She will be dearly missed by her three daughters, Ann B. Hawley and her husband, Rusty of Rumson; Beth B. Hunt and her husband, Douglas of Wall; and Katherine Blauvelt of Laguna Niguel, Calif.; seven grandchildren, Amy, Christopher, Trevor, Amanda, Tyler, Alex, and Tucker; and one great-grandchild, Taj. She is also survived by two sisters, Rose Marie Mac Evoy of Delaware and Anne Ferrano of Spring Lake; and many nieces and nephews. The family wishes to express their most heartfelt thanks to the entire Sunrise Assisted Living family.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Denis Roman Catholic Church, 90 Union Ave., Manasquan. There are no prior calling hours. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Brielle. In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer memorial donations made to the ASPCA. Arrangements are under the direction of the O'Brien Funeral Home, Route 35 at New Bedford Road, Wall.
