She was a loving mother, devoted grandmother, homemaker and baby sitter. She graduated from Deanville School and from Practical Bible Training School. She was a member of New Covenant Evangelical Presbyterian Church where she belonged to the Covenant Seekers. She was a church nursery superintendent for 28 years and a Child Evangelical Fellowship board member. She enjoyed bowling.

Relatives: three daughters and sons-in-law, Nancy and Fred Cox, Karen and Joe Behm, and Wendy and Brian Gorgacz; two sons and daughters-in-law, Roy and Laurie Boggs, and Bruce and Judy Boggs; a brother, Bert Shoemaker; two sisters, Janet Kunselman and Connie Keller; and 11 grandchildren, Charles Justin Behm, Gregory Daniel Cox, Andrew Scott Behm, Kayli Nichole Boggs, Sarah Elizabeth Boggs, Rachel Ann Boggs, Hannah Lynn Boggs, Cole Ryan Gorgacz, Brian Charles Boggs, Madalyn Faith Gorgacz and Mallory Grace Gorgacz. She was preceded in death by three sisters, Elizabeth Henry, Louise Aaron and Lawaive Metz; and a brother, Howard Shoemaker.
